When your cargo is sensitive to temperature — whether perishable food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or any product requiring strict climate control — you need more than just shipping; you need an unbroken cold (or controlled) chain. Trueways Logistics’ Temperature-Controlled Transport ensures that your goods are moved safely, reliably, and with full temperature integrity from origin to destination.
Temperature-Controlled Transport (also called “reefer transport” or “cold chain transport”) refers to the movement of goods in vehicles or trailers equipped with refrigeration, heating, or insulation systems, so that the internal environment stays within a prescribed temperature (and sometimes humidity) range. The service covers ambient, chilled, frozen, or “protect from freezing” categories, depending on the nature of the goods.
Multiple Temperature Bands
From deep-freeze / frozen (well below 0°C) through chilled (2-8°C) to ambient or temperature-protected ranges as needed.
Specialised Vehicles & Trailers
Fully equipped reefer trucks/trailers with reliable cooling/refrigeration units, insulation, and if needed, dual compartments or split-units for different temp zones.
Monitoring & Documentation
Continuous temperature monitoring during transit using sensors / data loggers. Display inside cabin (if feasible), alarms or alerts in case of out-of-spec conditions.
Compliance & Hygiene
Vehicles cleaned, sanitized; refrigeration equipment maintained; sensors calibrated; adherence to regulatory standards for transporting temperature-sensitive items (pharma, food safety, etc.).
Operational Controls
Careful route-planning, minimizing transit times; contingency planning (backup power, emergency protocols) so that temperature remains controlled even during delays.
Traceability & Visibility
Customers can access tracking of location and temperature; documentation such as proof of delivery, condition checks, temperature logs are provided.
Preservation of Product Quality & Safety
Sensitive goods get delivered in the condition required. For pharmaceuticals this might mean efficacy; for food, freshness and reducing spoilage; for chemicals, preventing degradation.
Regulatory and Customer Compliance
Helps satisfy legal regulations (e.g. food safety laws, Good Distribution Practices, pharma regulations) as well as quality expectations from your customers.
Reduced Waste, Loss & Returns
By avoiding temperature excursions, you reduce the risk of spoilage, damage, or product rejection.
Brand Reputation & Consumer Confidence
Maintaining temperature control builds trust that your products are handled with care — important for brands in food, pharma, cosmetics, etc.
Operational Efficiency
Proper planning, optimized loads, shorter transit times, and state-of-the-art equipment means lower risk, fewer disruptions, and more predictable lead times.
